he "VAN BEVER" Organ is one of 13 instruments built by the brothers Adrien and Salomon Van Bever in the city of Brussels. Originally from Laeken, they were very influential organ builders at the end of the 19th century and the beginning of the 20th. The theory and design of the romantic organ owes much to their work. The organ of the Dominican church in Brussels is the largest and most elaborate of all the organs built by the Van Bever brothers in Belgium. No major alterations have been made to it and it has retained its original condition to this day. It lends itself admirably to concert performance.
