Who we are

T

oday ten dominican friars from six European countries are sharing the Dominican community life. Together they are responsible for the preaching and an international liturgy in the Priory church. The brothers set up the Forum Renaissance-European Meetings, a centre for study, reflection and pirituality, and an Arts and Faith center.
The community is also engaged in the life of the international and European community, through its association 'Espaces'.

With all their differences of culture, background and language, the brothers have set out to build a community life which witnesses to their conviction that the human vocation is to live ‘as brothers and sisters’.

It also hopes to put itself at the service of expatriate communities in Brussels. In different ways it reaches out to artists, to people in prison, and to people on the margin of society.

Morning and evening, the community prays the Divine Office. All who like to pray with the psalms, song and silence are invited to join us.

The international community of St Dominic is part of the Dominican Order in Europe and has close ties with the other parts of the Dominican family, the Sisters and the Lay Fraternities.
